Get & Set up Cisco Inc. AnyConnect is a straightforward procedure if you observe the steps below.
Requirements
Before the administrator start, check the following requirements:
- Operating system requirements: Windows 7+, Mac OS, or Linux distributions.
- Elevated privileges on the device.
- network access for the download.
Download procedure
1. Open a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Edge Chromium.
2. Go to the Cisco vendor site or your enterprise download portal.
3. Locate the AnyConnect VPN bundle for your platform.
4. Click the get download link and save the package.
Verify the download
Once the file download, confirm the installer:
- File size should correspond to the published figure.
- Where provided, confirm the checksum.
Install on Windows
1. Right-click the installer and choose Open with admin rights.
2. Follow the on-screen steps:
- Accept the EULA.
- Choose the recommended components.
3. Complete the installation and reboot if needed.
Install on macOS
1. Open the installation image and double-click the installer.
2. Follow the installation guide, enter root credentials when requested.

Install on Linux

Connect to a VPN
1. Launch the AnyConnect application.
2. Enter the gateway hostname.
3. Provide your credentials and any 2FA verification.
4. Click Establish connection and confirm the VPN state.
Troubleshooting
If you run into errors:
- Confirm network connectivity.
- Power cycle the application.
- Uninstall and reinstall the AnyConnect.
